Start in Cape Town with optional, self-funded trips up Table Mountain and a scenic introduction to South Africa’s famous wine regions. Then it’s northbound into Namibia, where the real adventure begins.

Canoe along the dramatic Fish River Canyon, explore the towering dunes and desert beauty of Namib Naukluft National Park, and soak up coastal charm in Swakopmund. Continue inland to Windhoek before heading into Etosha National Park for unforgettable wildlife encounters around floodlit waterholes.

Cross into Botswana and journey into the Okavango Delta by 4×4, travelling deep into this wild oasis before reaching Maun. Experience the surreal landscapes of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, then head to Chobe National Park for incredible game viewing along the Chobe River.

Trip Overview

Your adventure begins at Africa’s southern tip — Cape Town. Gaze at spectacular landscapes that welcomed early explorers and take in views from iconic Table Mountain overlooking one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

From here, journey north into Namibia’s dramatic desert landscapes, where towering dunes meet vast open skies. Experience unforgettable wildlife encounters in Etosha National Park, explore ancient Bushman rock art, and travel into Botswana’s pristine wilderness.

Navigate the Okavango Delta by traditional mokoro canoe, track elephants along the Chobe River, and end your journey at the aweinspiring Victoria Falls.

Daily Itinerary

Arrival in Cape Town at any time. This is a free day to explore the Mother City. We recommend arriving one or two days early to experience highlights such as the Cape Winelands, Table Mountain, Cape Point, and Robben Island.

Trip briefing: 18:00 on Day 1

Depart after breakfast and travel to the Cape Winelands on the edge of the Olifants River. This region is home to vineyards and scenic mountain landscapes. Enjoy an optional wine tasting in the evening.

A long but scenic drive through Namaqualand to the banks of the Orange River. Cross the border into Namibia and stop in Springbok to shop and restock supplies before continuing to your lodge.

Start the day with a guided canoe trip along the Orange River (10–12 km). After lunch, travel to Fish River Canyon and enjoy a scenic sunset walk along the canyon rim.

Travel north toward the Namib Desert. This is a long drive (approximately 600 km) to reach the gateway to the dunes. Arrive late afternoon and prepare for an early start the following day.

Early morning departure to Sossusvlei. Climb the famous Dune 45 and watch the sunrise over the desert. Continue by 4×4 transfer to Deadvlei to see ancient camelthorn trees over 800 years old. Later visit Sesriem Canyon.
